Lessons are like a box of chocolates
Sorry, but not sorry, to quote a classic movie, but lessons are really like a box of chocolates! How? Well:
There's a lot of choices
Some taste good
Some taste bad
It's all chocolate!
Hopefully my metaphor made sense, but on a serious note music lessons are a means to an end and require a "complete" approach to give you the ability to play the music you want to. There's a lot of things we can do in lessons - some of it you'll like, some of it you won't, but it's all music. In lessons we'll cover:
Note Reading
Rhythm Training
Sight-Reading Skills
Technique Help
Music Theory
Ear Training
Improvisation
And more!
We won't cover each of these at every lesson, but please know that you're getting a compete education to become a well-rounded musician when you study with me.

Lesson Options
In-Person Lessons
Offered only for those in the Westchester, NY area or somewhere that's not too far! Traditional, tried, and true, this option allows for immediate, constructive feedback (ex: physical correction) and also a more direct transfer of knowledge (there's no lag because of a bad connection!).
To keep students on track, I can provide written comments, practice videos, or text/ email updates to keep you in the loop. Just ask!
Online/ Virtual Lessons
Offered to everyone! Modern and innovative, all you need are a cellphone/ laptop and a good internet connection. It's also less work because you can do this from the comfort of your own home just by setting yourself up and then enjoying your lesson!
You may be hesitant about this option, but ask for a free trial lesson. Also, if you're worried about your child, don't be! At this point children are used to learning through screens, and while it's more screen time, online lessons may be an educational opportunity your child looks forward to every week. Also, if you're an adult considering online lessons, this option is superior in terms of scheduling. Life is hectic and unpredictable, so the flexibility that online lessons offer may be your cup of tea.
