Why take lessons?

Take a moment to read below why you should take music lessons and why I claim that I specialize in in-person and online/ virtual piano lessons for kids!

First of all, I'm assuming that you want to learn music, or that you want your child to. If so, you might be thinking, "Can't I just use ______  instead?" Well, yes. There are alternative methods of learning music (YouTube clips, instructional videos, apps, DIY method books, etc.), and they do deliver a product,  but that's the thing, they offer one product, and that's it. There's no actual learning that takes place (just memorization), and you get stuck with a cookie-cutter version of a piece of music that's inflexible and frankly, boring.

Music lessons offer a real, nurturing environment that allows for proper learning to take place. Quality lessons, which I offer, are interactive (you'll get immediate feedback), dynamic (I'll taper lessons to your needs), and fun! And while it seems like I'm trying oversell lessons I will say that there will be low points and lulls, but those are the growing pains that eventually lead to the highs and exciting breakthroughs that are memorable. Lessons are a journey and process and I promise to use my experience and expertise to make it the best possible one.

What experience do I have? Well as I've stated in my "Meet the Teacher" section, I:

  • have 10+ years of professional teaching experience

  • have multiple degrees in music (one is actually in teaching piano to kids specifically)

  • have a position at a college where I teach online/ virtually

Combine all of these together and you get a person that is equally flexible in teaching in-person and online lessons! Also, throughout my teaching career beginner piano lessons have been the most popular choice of parents, so I'm very comfortable teaching kids. If you put it all together you get someone that specializes in in-person and online/ virtual piano lessons for kids!

Lastly, I do want to say that I also stress a relationship through lessons - I want extend my help when you need it, so feel free to drop me a text/ email for any reason whatsoever! I'm a person, not a company, and I promise to treat each of my students/ parents with a high level of professionalism, with a personal touch.

Four C's Gurantee

In lessons I stress four C's that are central to my modernized teaching philosophy. Not only do these lead to success in lessons, but they lay the foundation for success in life! They are:

  1. Critical Thinking

  2. Communication

  3. Creativity

  4. Community

I can guarantee results because I'm a person in the community helping the community. That's helpful because I'm not part of a huge impersonal organization - I deal directly with you, and you deal directly with me so there's no clutter.

So, help me help you give the gift that keeps on giving, I promise that you won't regret it. Check out the links below for more information!
