Meet Tommy
Because of our work together, Tommy auditioned and was accepted into a full magnet school & fine arts academy.
Part of Tommy's success was his innate curiosity and keen sense of creativity - from the get-go, he 'had it' (talent).
But talent isn't enough... talent requires proper guidance - and that's where a good teacher comes in.
Good teachers don't just teach - they listen & learn from their students.
Because of this, Tommy forced me to 'level up' my teaching... and the videos below demonstrate our journey together.
Please take a moment to view the milestones I've compiled below that demonstrate Tommy's progress throughout our time together.

The Audition Video
Here's the official video that got Tommy in the school of his choice:
And here's what I got from Tommy's parents when they got the exciting news!

Side Projects
Lessons weren't just all about work... part of what helped Tommy's success was that we customized lessons to his wants & needs equally. Here's a side project we worked on:
One of the biggest & best lessons I learned from Tommy is that kids learn best when they're encouraged to pursue their interests.

Meet Josh
Because of our work together, Josh auditioned and was accepted into a music program at the college of his choice.
Since I knew Josh had a big dream, I had to lovingly 'get him into shape.'
It wasn't easy. Some days, I felt like I was being too harsh, but here's the truth -
It's better for a child to learn in a genuine nurturing environment (meant to encourage them & to prepare them for reality)...
Rather than a disingenuous facade that's meant to make everyone feel good instead of challenging them to grow.
And because Josh was challenged and chose to sacrifice temporary comfort for achieving the goal he set for himself, he succeeded.
Please take a moment to follow the messages & emails below for more of Josh's story.

Mom's Heartfelt Thank You

And here's a sample of Josh's playing:
By the way.... he sent this video after our lessons ended AND while he was traveling/ studying abroad in France.
I like to tell my students that after lessons are done, the only thing that ends is our relationship as 'student and teacher.'
The relationship that's formed through lessons doesn't disappear, and neither do the many, many memories.
